Interior City Workshop

Last week, 3 of our department members joined the Interior City workshop in Kortrijk. It was a collaboration between two Dutch design academies – including De Rietveld of course – and three Belgian academies. In four groups we analyzed the relation between the interior fair and the city where it takes place Kortrijk.

The outcome were four ideas based on the themes: memory of the city, the paradox of sustainability, the typology of a fairground and architecture as an appropriation of public space. It was a fun, exciting and educational week!
