Rietveld Students sculpt with books for ABC

The ABC invited students of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Department of inter-architecture, back to build a Book Sculpture. They made a few small ones for our 40th birthday in 2012, when the weather was absolutely dreadful, so hopefully this year the right conditions will prevail for a stunning, eminently instagrammable and retweetable art installation. If raining again, the event will be rescheduled.Watch this space.

ABC will be donating the books, but we also invite you to bring along your own extra books to have them added or help add them to this unique work of art. We don’t ever like to throw books away – it feels better to give them away, so let’s play with them a little first, then give these books new homes!
