To prepare, read Chapter 30 of Curtis, &#8216;Extension and critique in the 1960s&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>First we&#8217;ll talk about Robert Venturi&#8217;s book <em>Complexity and contradiction in architecture<\/em>, published in 1966.
